Overview:
Lily is seeking a General Ledger Accountant who will prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts and financial statements, and ensure the accuracy of the company's financial data. The General Ledger Accountant will report to the VP of Finance and work closely with other departments including Sales, HR, and Operations.
In this role, you will:
- Ensure the accuracy of the company's financial data
- Analyze financial information to ensure compliance with accounting standards
- Support monthly and annual closing processes including accruals, deferrals, and interdepartmental entries
- Reconcile accounts in the general ledger on a regular basis
- Prepare and post journal entries relating to amortization, depreciation, and other accounting functions
- Interact with various departments to collect information needed for general ledger accounting and reporting
What we consider critical for this role:
- 2-5 years of general ledger accounting experience
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Knowledge of accounting functions and financial record keeping
- Strong math and problem-solving skills
- Experience preparing and auditing financial statements
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to haves:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Audit Firm Experience
- Experience using accounting software like QuickBooks and Bill.com
- Experience in a startup environment

Compensation is competitive and will be determined based on a combination of experience, seniority, internal, external equity and location. For some context: this position in the US would pay between 80,000 - 95,000 USD per year, depending on experience and seniority. In other regions, compensation will be adjusted for local currency and local market rates. Lily AI compensation policy is calculated with a focus on equity and where employees can thrive.
