The Role: We are looking for a full-stack senior software engineer to shape the future of our web solutions. The applicant will work directly with the CTO to architect, plan, and implement web solutions with a focus on AI and real-time data visualization, and lead our web and server-side engineers in implementation of compelling and clear customer journeys with sophisticated UI/UX.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design software architecture and plan the feature development roadmap alongside our CTO
• Deliver real-time data visualization for analytics and reporting
• Build robust and engaging experiences that drive more revenue to Vend locations
• Leverage machine learning to predict user needs and surface them contextually
• Grow Vend Pay into an end-to-end replacement for legacy payments solutions for parking and beyond

Requirements and Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience working as a full-stack engineer with a focus on full-stack web and cloud technologies
• Proficient in Typescript and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming Cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform including services like Cloud Run, Firestore, Pub/Sub, VPCs and networking, and Kubernetes
• Frontend experience with ReactJS 18 and NextJS 13 frameworks. Exposure to data visualization with D3.js is a plus
• Backend experience with NodeJS and frameworks like NestJS. Exposure to third-parties such as Stripe and Twilio and AI/ML experience with Tensorflow or similar are a plus
• Ability to collaborate and communicate complex technical concepts to non technical stakeholders and clients
• Prior experience leading projects from planning phase through execution, and overseeing other engineers
• Creative problem solver who is also very detail oriented
