Martinsen Mayer has partnered with Unstructured.io to help them find an innovative and experienced Developer Advocate to join their scaling business.

About the Role:

In the role of Developer Advocate at Unstructured, you will be responsible for establishing and cultivating relationships with the developer community. Your primary focus will be to drive adoption of our Open Source technologies by extending the use cases and applications of our products, developing tools to enhance the developer experience, and gathering feedback to improve our technology. By fostering relationships with developers, you will play a vital role in the growth of Unstructured and our Open Source technologies. You’ll sit within our engineering organization and collaborate extremely closely with other data scientists and software engineers on our team.

Developer Advocacy at Unstructured is deeply technical and having a generalist mindset is essential. As the first member of this team you’ll be on the leading edge of identifying and driving new partnerships with other Open Source solutions, help to organize and attend developer events, and generate thought leadership content in the form of blog posts, videos, demos, and more. We value that each team member works on impactful projects that are interesting to them. As such, you’ll have a key part in defining your role and day-to-day activities.

Role Responsibilities - How You Will Make An Impact:

• Cultivate relationships with the developer community to promote Unstructured's Open Source technologies
• Develop tools and prototypes to enhance the developer experience and gather feedback from the developer community to improve Unstructured’s products
• Identify and establish new partnerships with other Open Source solutions
• Assist with organizing and attending developer events to promote Unstructured’s technology
• Create thought leadership content such as blog posts, videos, demos, and more to showcase Unstructured's expertise
• Define your own role and day-to-day activities to work on impactful projects that are interesting to you

Relevant Skills & Experiences:

Established professional social media presence on Twitter and LinkedIn (bonus points for additional platforms)

At least three years of Python experience

At least one year of experience in developer relations/advocacy/evangelism

At least one year of experience applying transformer models to NLP or CV problems
