At Tundra, our mission is to make the industry more efficient. We are building a platform where retailers can buy the best products at the lowest direct wholesale prices.

We are currently hiring for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our experienced team in Zurich, Switzerland.

Tasks:
Contribute new features to our B2B platform in a reliable and sustainable manner
Work closely with product management, designers, and FE engineers, DevOps and QA
Take ownership and develop end to end solutions including concept, technical design, implementation, testing and monitoring
Start new green field projects like APIs, Analytics, 3rd party integrations, etc
Solve critical problems in innovative ways
Helping us plan out our services and infrastructure as we scale up
Resolve production issues on rotation basis

Requirements:
Proficiency in Scala programming language
Proactive, passionate and have the needed perseverance for creating great software in an imperfect world
Ability to work both independently and with teammates in a fast moving environment
Experienced in developing distributed and resilient software systems
Strong analytical and design skills, and attention to the details
Interest in learning functional programming concepts (we use cats, cats-effect, http4s, fs2, etc)
Nice to have familiarity with AWS stack
