About the Role:
Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for sanitation functions for the Vacaville facility. The person in this role works with the Management team to ensure readiness for upcoming projects and demonstrates good time management in planning work schedules to meet deadlines. The Sanitation Supervisor oversees the Sanitation crew to ensure compliance with all Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPS).
This is a 100% onsite, overnight position, and this role is scheduled for 12 am to 8:30 am.

What you'll do

  • Collaborate with QA staff and other supervisors to troubleshoot and analyze sanitation-related issues
  • Regularly audit and update sanitation processes, documentation, and programs to ensure compliance with SSOPs; Identify and implement measures to continuously improve sanitation methods
  • Ensure daily chemical titration tests are completed within required standards and recorded appropriately
  • Conduct department supply inventory and ordering to include sanitation chemicals and supplies
  • Assist Quality in managing relationships with outside vendors (Chemicals, tools)
  • Report daily to sanitation team the results of the previous day’s Pre-op inspections and areas of concern for the current day
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training new employees
  • Train and instruct employees regarding sanitation standards, GMPs, SSOPs, and objectives.
  • Conduct employee reviews and maintain team member coaching log
  • Update and maintain department attendance tracking log and report department issues to HR
  • Review and approve employee vacation/PTO requests as needed
  • Regularly review payroll system and employee time punches for accuracy
  • Leads by example by following Company policies, standards, and specifications

What you'll bring

  • 3+ years food plant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience, which includes sanitation experience
  • Possess a working knowledge of sanitation operations; maintains knowledge of current and developing sanitation techniques
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Possess skills in organization and prioritization with attention to detail
  • Tech-savvy approach with everyday tasks and communication; comfortable with G-Suite and Slack, a big plus
  • Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines
  • Ability to select, coach, develop, engage, and retain a team of employees
  • Spanish speaking preferred
