Trainer (Contract)
Street Smarts VR
Street Smarts VR is a veteran-owned, dual-use technology platform that's revolutionizing tactical training through virtual reality and improving public safety outcomes. By integrating software, hardware, and training data, SSVR's solution is transforming the VR training landscape.
Across four continents, 10,000 users across dozens of US military and police departments currently train with SSVR - and that's a tiny fraction of the 5 million first responders in the US who carry weapons and for whom training is not just a requirement but a moral imperative. SSVR is forecasting rapid growth over the coming years in both state and local law enforcement as well as all four branches of the US Military.
At Street Smarts VR, we understand that military and first responders consistently operate in high stress, high consequence environments. We’ve lived it. So by leveraging virtual reality and real-world data sources, we’ve built a fully immersive platform that conditions users to the real life stressors they will face in the field.
We are looking for Contract Trainers across the US and Canada to join our growing Learning, Development, and Support Team within the Customer Experience (CX) team. The CX team is passionate about serving as the customer’s voice and demonstrating the value of our product offerings. The main goals of the team are to foster product adoption and user satisfaction, assist with change management, capture and contextualize product feedback for our engineering and product teams, track issue resolution, explain new feature enhancements, and mitigate/prioritize any pain points before they become critical issues.
Street Smarts VR is seeking an experienced and dynamic train-the-trainer (T3) contractor to deliver high-quality, immersive training sessions for our customers utilizing advanced Virtual Reality (VR) and Mixed Reality (MR) training solutions. This role is integral to ensuring customers maximize their use of the Street Smarts VR platform through comprehensive training, ongoing education, and hands-on demonstrations.
As a T3 contractor, you will provide on-site and virtual training to law enforcement, military, and other professional organizations. You may also be asked to conduct product demonstrations for prospective clients, assist in business development efforts at industry trade shows, and support customer success and customer support initiatives when needed.
This is a highly flexible, project-based contract position, ideal for individuals with a strong background in training, education, or instructional delivery—particularly in law enforcement, military, or high-tech training environments. Trainers must be comfortable with traveling, engaging with a wide range of learners, adapting to new training technologies, and physically handling VR/MR training equipment. You must have the ability to foster and maintain strong customer relationships, understand a customer’s desired business outcomes, and demonstrate a mastery of our product offerings to help customers gain maximum value from our products and services. You are key to driving product adoption. The ideal candidate is someone who has served in a law enforcement or military capacity and has training experience.
While this is a fully remote position, you must live in your assigned region. The role requires extensive travel during our busiest seasons for onsite customer training and/or demo conference support (if applicable) as well as availability to work remotely from home to lead virtual training and support sessions.
We have the following current openings:
- Northeast Contract Trainer
- Mid-Atlantic Contract Trainer
- Southeast Contract Trainer

- Canada Contract Trainers (Eastern and Western Canada)
While we are hiring nationwide, you must be flexible to cover any territory given business demand.
