About SoWork

We're a fast-growing startup founded at Harvard's Innovation Labs. Our mission is to move the world of work from the Earth to the Cloud . We're doing this by building the world's first MMOW ('massively multiplayer online workplace') where the world's best teams work from, form communities, and socialize.
People spend the majority of their lives working - and there is no reason it shouldn't be delightful, functional, and all online. This would let people live their own lives on their own terms, wherever in the world they'd like. They'd be able to spend more time with loved ones, they'd be able to travel, and we as a group could then completely eliminate the need to commute into busy, expensive city centers. Once we start to make digital work wonderful and connected, we make remote work something that companies embrace and encourage. At scale - imagine what that does for our collective carbon footprint. We could really save the world here, people!
To do this, we've been hard at work building what will be a massive, open-world workplace, with private buildings and community, social spaces alike. Think 'World of Warcraft', but for work (World of Workcraft, anyone? ...No one? Ugh fine ). This is a place where business moves, community is made, and social events happen.

As Relationship Manager at Sophya, you'll work with our most influential and strategic Customers. These companies are pioneering what it means to be digital-first. We're building the future together with them and it's crucial that we work side-by-side with them to lay the foundation of a better work world. We need you to help us ensure their success and their future visions, which are in lockstep with ours.
This role covers working with these customers along the entire spectrum of their journey in SoWork. From their first moments in our coworking space, all the way through to building out their second block in our Neighbourhood. These folks are roaring to move in to their surreal estate, so the opportunity to help build and shape our global community is massive. We can't wait for you to take it by the reins!

You will

Work with our Customer Success teams to ensure all communications follow the Sophya standard. Our Customers love us for our efforts here, and we want to keep exceeding their expectations.
Work with Growth and Product to ensure the strategies surrounding these key customers are aligned and our learnings from them are constantly flowing into the rest of the Sophya team.
Be a sounding board, a best practices guide-maker, a co-conspirator, a comforting, guiding presence for our most valuable Customers as they navigate uncharted territory and forge ahead in bringing on teams into their digital HQ.
Be creative when you need to workaround an obstacle with our Customers, which means you also know our product inside, out, and sideways.
Always look out for opportunities to share best practices from other customers.
Possibly be beaten at Mariokart by Vish, or Eddy's girlfriend Olivia.
Commit to improving your communication skills every day.

You have

A cool head. There will be heated moments, high pressure situations where our Customers are super stressed. They're moving into a digital HQ, after all. It's up to you to remain cool and collected, the calming presence in the face of what may appear to be a fire for our Customer.
A great ability to keep things secret! Many of these Customers are not public yet and it is extremely important that you can keep it zipped when needed and don't share your excitement with friends, family, or foes. NOT EVEN YOUR CAT
Empathy! In truckloads. Our Customers are pioneers, that means there will be unknowns, rocky terrain to cross together, and necessary last-minute solutions. Your empathy and warm demeanour will enable you to succeed in helping our Customers navigate these waters.
A positive attitude and solution-oriented mindset. You see obstacles as opportunities.
You're energized by people and can form personal relationships seamlessly and quickly.
You do not seek chaos, but when faced with it, you will find order and a path out of it back into calm, tranquil waters. We never want to break anything, but at a fast-paced, growing start-up, something inevitably breaks and we need to be prepared for it so it doesn't destroy our velocity.
A desire for setting up scalable systems and processes that you'll be putting together as we grow at warp speed.
Proven experience handling important stakeholders under high pressure situations. We don't care what kind, we just want to hear about it. ​
