About SoWork

We're a fast-growing startup founded at Harvard's Innovation Labs. Our mission is to move the world of work from the Earth to the Cloud . We're doing this by building the world's first MMOW ('massively multiplayer online workplace') where the world's best teams work from, form communities, and socialize.
People spend the majority of their lives working - and there is no reason it shouldn't be delightful, functional, and all online. This would let people live their own lives on their own terms, wherever in the world they'd like. They'd be able to spend more time with loved ones, they'd be able to travel, and we as a group could then completely eliminate the need to commute into busy, expensive city centers. Once we start to make digital work wonderful and connected, we make remote work something that companies embrace and encourage. At scale - imagine what that does for our collective carbon footprint. We could really save the world here, people!
To do this, we've been hard at work building what will be a massive, open-world workplace, with private buildings and community, social spaces alike. Think 'World of Warcraft', but for work (World of Workcraft, anyone? ...No one? Ugh fine ). This is a place where business moves, community is made, and social events happen.

It's been said, SoWork sells itself. After all, with many orgs under fire to stem the tide of the "great resignation", to find ways to bring their entire team together, regardless of zip code or timezones, the pains SoWork solves are self-evident. With an open coworking space, where any and all suspects, prospects, & leads come hang out, the value SoWork can enable becomes readily apparent (and delightful af). So what does the Inbound Sales Activator do, you may ask?- sit back with their feet up? Hardly. At SoWork we only have 2 speeds: fast and faster. While our self-service flow works great for individuals & teams, this Activator will be responsible for helping land & expand within the broader logo the team resides within. At SoWork we don't believe in false dichotomies either, so we believe one can sell and learn at the same time. Are you up for the challenge?

You will

Be a sales team of 1, and hunt down the opportunities from within our SoWork spaces & leverage those opportunities into Private HQs powered by SoWork
Work cross-functionally with our Marketing & Growth team, to better inform & be informed by what our ideal customer cares deeply about, and the use cases they engage in.
Develop a sales process that works, by learning what works, intentionally
Be a champion for Customer Value always. Teach & share the customer truth across the org
Be solution-oriented, and comfortable breaking ground and creating new solutions.
Possibly be beaten at Mariokart by Vish, or Eddy's girlfriend Olivia.

You have

'Done it before'.
A competitive streak that drives you to close deals.
Experience within b2b SaaS sales, or similar discipline.
Insatiable curiosity for how people work tomorrow and how we can deliver that today.
A belief that sales is less about selling and more about helping people buy.
Excellent oral and written communication, and a willingness to adjust on the fly.
