We're doing this by building the world's first MMOW ('massively multiplayer online workplace') where the world's best teams work from, form communities, and socialize.

People spend the majority of their lives working - and there is no reason it shouldn't be delightful, functional, and all online. This would let people live their own lives on their own terms, wherever in the world they'd like. They'd be able to spend more time with loved ones, they'd be able to travel, and we as a group could then completely eliminate the need to commute into busy, expensive city centers. Once we start to make digital work wonderful and connected, we make remote work something that companies embrace and encourage. At scale - imagine what that does for our collective carbon footprint. We could really save the world here, people!

To do this, we've been hard at work building what will be a massive, open-world workplace, with private buildings and community, social spaces alike. Think 'World of Warcraft', but for work (World of Workcraft, anyone? ...No one? Ugh fine 😑). This is a place where business moves, community is made, and social events happen.

A Product Manager role at Sophya is a little different to PM roles elsewhere. We're lucky enough to have a product that not only speaks for itself, but is at the forefront of the new digital-first world of work.

We're a product-led growth organization, and we believe in the magic of the metaverse we're all building together. We work in cross-functional, Learn-Build-Measure loops, which applies to all aspects of the org, down to Product processes and individual tasks that comprise a feature build.

Product at Sophya builds upon strong vision from the Head of Product and interweaves Customer insights from our Measure and Research teams to define Customer Problems and desired Outcomes. A Sophya PM will work directly with the CEO (Head of Product), to drive the strategic outcomes we need. They will work with Engineering teams, Design, Art, and Growth to ensure that every feature is shipped on time, to spec, solving Customer problems and in iterations. They will also work directly with the COO when adjusting processes, to ensure Product processes work within the entire Org's system, which is designed to power high velocity development and learning.

Product at Sophya works in true cross-functional feature teams, so come prepared to dive into a team from all across the org that is empowered, accountable, and, most importantly, highly communicative.

You will

Be excited to work with teammates from all across the org as you work to iterate the Product to what our Customers need it to be and where our vision is taking us.

Love making sure that necessary details and organization are never left to the wayside as Customer Problems are identified and scoped, constraints are organized, and appetites are selected for our cross-functional feature teams.

Be addicted to making sure we close loops and drive the most important outcomes to completion.

Be adamant about keeping the Customer Journey and their Experience as number one for why we build.

Align with Product and other stakeholders as needed to make sure we are always moving forward and building for our Customer and to our vision.

Work as a team with different programmers from different parts of the world. Organization and excellent communication is fundamental.

Be creative in solving technical problems without the technical bits, and comfortable breaking ground and creating new solutions.

Not be afraid to blow something up when it's not working and we need to craft anew. Only our principles and pillars are sacred. The rest of our work is to be iterated on.
