About the Role
You will be in charge of the formal initiation of the product department to own the product lifecycle, product roadmap, and create a customer centric mentality through the development lifecycle. You will pair with the company’s R&D department to deliver best in class solutions for our patented use case. You will instill best practices, organization and thought leadership into Skyline through the product perspective and we expect you to come in to accelerate our goals.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
- Develop and communicate a clear and compelling product strategy that aligns with Skyline Robotics’ business goals, market trends, and customer needs.
- Own the product roadmap, ensuring it balances strategic priorities, resource constraints, and customer feedback.
- Monitor the competitive landscape and emerging technologies, continuously iterating on product offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of product managers and designers.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven culture that prioritizes customer-centric design and product excellence.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with senior leadership, providing strategic guidance and regular updates on product development progress.
- Champion cross-functional collaboration, working closely with R&D, field operations, sales, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and drive successful product launches.
Product Development & Execution
- Oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation through product launch and ongoing iteration.
- Ensure the successful execution of product development, setting clear priorities, timelines, and measurable KPIs.
- Actively participate in product design and engineering discussions to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and user-centric solutions.
- Develop and track key performance metrics, continuously optimizing the product portfolio based on data-driven insights and user feedback.
Customer and Market Insights
- Engage directly with customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders to gather insights and validate product concepts.
- Stay closely connected with customer needs and pain points, ensuring that the product roadmap reflects market demands and business opportunities.
Qualifications
Required:
- Experience: 6+ years of experience in product management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within robotics, automation, or at a minimum, a product that included hardware and software.
- Leadership: Proven track record of leading high-performing, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of robotics, AI, and software/hardware development, with the ability to engage deeply with technical teams and product design.
- Strategic Thinking: Demonstrated ability to define and execute a comprehensive product strategy that drives company growth and market leadership.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Expertise in analyzing market trends, customer feedback, and product performance metrics to make informed product decisions.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
Preferred:
- Industry Expertise: Experience within the robotics, smart building, or automation sectors, with a deep understanding of building systems, urban infrastructure, or commercial maintenance.
- Innovation: Proven ability to drive innovation and bring new, disruptive technologies to market.
- Startup Experience: Experience working in high-growth or startup environments, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and scale product offerings rapidly.
