Description

SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking a Senior Director of Information Technology (IT) who will play a crucial role in shaping the organization's IT strategy, driving innovation, and ensuring that IT initiatives support and enable the achievement of business objectives. Embodying the aspects of both a doer & delegator they will grow an experienced team capable to further the delivery of day-to-day IT activities while also providing strategic thought leadership across an array of capabilities, including:

- Infrastructure & Operations

- End-User Support

- Cyber Security Implementation & Assurance

- Application Development

- Strategic Partnerships

The Senior Director of Information Technology (IT)must be comfortable diving into technical details to solve challenges but also able to interpret the significance of those details as they relate to business operations and communicate the risks to the Company's executive leadership.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sets the mission, vision, roadmap and strategy of the Cybersecurity and IT organization.
  • Develops and leads the cybersecurity and data privacy/management roadmap based off industry leading frameworks.
  • Manages network security engineering and operations for capabilities including but not limited to Perimeter protection via Firewalls, WAF (Web Access Firewall), IPS (Intrusion Prevention Systems), Email Security, Remote Access, DDOS protection, and Web Filtering tools and technologies.
  • Oversees security/IT-related vendor relationships, product selection, and negotiation of high-level contracts to provide services and capabilities for the protection of global organization assets.
  • Act as advocate and primary liaison for the company's security vision via regular written and in-person communications with the executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users.
  • Oversee the strategy of the IT department, to implement company-level continuous technological evolution, through the use of data analytics, streamlining and integrating disparate systems, establishing core metrics/KPIs, and instituting development standards and best practices.
  • Ensure IT related policies & procedures reflect current best practices and comply with government regulations (i.e., GMP, FDA, NRC, DFARS, IT Audit, etc.).
  • Oversee IT Support, ensuring end users have the resources and support they need to effectively use technology in their job functions.
  • Lead and develop resources within the IT department, including recruiting and hiring qualified technical staff, mentoring, training, reviewing performance and communicating corporate policies.
  • Stay up to date on new information technologies and their possible application in the organization to enable the execution of the strategic plan. Define and communicate project milestones, service level agreements, operational metrics and resource allocation to executive team, department leads, support staff, and end users
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; degrees in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, or similar technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of information technology/cybersecurity with meaningful experience with cybersecurity incident response practices along with at least 5 years in a senior cybersecurity/IT leadership role leading the IT department for a business, encompassing hardware, software, networks, servers, telecommunications, ERP systems, cybersecurity, and IT policies.
  • Professional Security Management Certification (i.e., CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.).
  • Ability to maintain a current understanding of the cyber threat environment for pharmaceutical/nuclear industry and related laws and regulations and the ability to translate that knowledge to identify risk and develop actionable plans to protect the business.
  • Excellent communication skills with a capacity to present, discuss and explain issues coherently and logically both in writing and verbally, to all audiences, including at the Board level.
  • Ability to think strategically and evaluate options in the short, medium, and long term.
  • Ability to cope in a technically complex and fast-changing environment, and to respond calmly and rationally to changing priorities in a deadline-driven situation.
  • Proven track record of hiring and leading highly technical senior level IT professionals to support a global multinational firm.
  • Proven management skills with the ability to mentor staff members.
  • Must be able to maintain the required confidentiality of certain projects and information.

Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
