See open jobs at SHINE Medical Technologies.See open jobs similar to "Buyer" Alumni Ventures.SHINE Technologies is immediately seeking a Buyer to provide support to the Procurement team by performing transaction activities (creating purchase orders), expediting and driving procurement administration, fostering vendor relationships and communication, and assisting in proposal development. This position ensures timely acquisitions of products or services from known vendors. The Buyer will support the varied daily activities to allow for more efficiency and better output at the direction of the Procurement group.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities of the Buyer include, but are not limited to:
- Purchasing material, products, services, and equipment by creating purchase orders with approved vendors, including foreign companies
- Issue purchase orders and agreements that accurately reflect price, scheduler, terms and conditions as negotiated
- Assists in the evaluation process through the distribution of quotations, preparation of the commercial portion of the bid tabulation, and collaboration with Engineering and Construction regarding the technical and constructability evaluations.
- Manages the award, conforming, and receiving process.
- Able to resolve simple claim or dispute events with vendors. May be responsible for soliciting budgetary pricing for equipment, material, or labor to support estimating/proposal efforts for a non-major project or projects.
- Establish effective communications, good relations, and positive images with vendors, promoting courtesy, objectivity, and fairness.
- Proficient in the basic functions of the vendor database.
- Files appropriate record documents and follows Corporate and project filing rules.
- May provide input to portions of new and/or revised procedures or documents. Individual contributor with no subordinates.
- Associate degree in engineering, supply chain or other technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and/or years of experience preferred
- A minimum of three (3) years of related work experience
- Knowledge of the Windows operating system and Microsoft Office products
- Knowledge of NetSuite and SAP Concur
- Ability to work in a team environment and to take directions as well as think independently
- Organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
