Project Estimator
SHINE Medical Technologies
SHINE Technologies is seeking a Project Estimator to support the SHINE Project teams in their assessment of the costs, resources and schedule required to complete specific scopes of work. The Project Estimator will be primarily focused on a project to construct and commission a new medical isotope production facility.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Specific duties and responsibilities of Project Estimator include, but are not limited to:
- Analyzing requirement documents, drawings, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product
- Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
- Creating labor estimates for any project
- Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
- Managing bids from vendors and contractors
- Using bid data to prepare detailed a cost analysis
- Presenting prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders
- Compiling and recording actual costs
- May include other duties as assigned
- Degree in mathematics, finance, accounting, statistics, or other scientific/construction field
- Candidates with degrees and/or training in engineering management or project management with relevant experience may also qualify
- 6+ years of prior project or construction estimating experience
- Strong attention to detail and analytical and quantitative skills
- Proficiency in mathematics, statistics, and data analysis
- Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop material and cost estimates for large projects
- Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database managers
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents
- Excellent written communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Strong work ethic; genuine passion for excellence
- Experience with non-routine projects highly preferred
Eligibility for employment is conditioned on the applicant’s ability to qualify for access to information subject to U.S. Export Controls. Additionally, applicant’s eligibility may be conditioned based upon meeting the Nuclear Regulatory Commission requirements for access to Safeguards Information, which typically requires a pre-employment drug screen, fingerprinting and criminal background check.
