Marketing & Communications
New York, NY, USA
Posted on Thursday, February 1, 2024
Sesame is the first-of-its-kind health care marketplace. Our mission is to make high-quality, affordable care accessible to the millions of Americans who have been priced out of the traditional healthcare system - and we’re doing that by connecting thousands of healthcare providers across all 50 states directly with American consumers who are seeking top-notch, convenient medical care at half the price of what is typical. We’ve done this by stripping away all of the things that needlessly complicate healthcare (third-party fees, skyrocketing deductibles, opaque billing practices and lengthy wait times) and replacing them with a system where shopping for health care services is radically transparent and simple.
Our customers love our platform, which provides them with access to high-quality care quickly, easily, and for a fair price - regardless of their insurance status. Our partners value our dedication to great user experience and accessible services. And our providers appreciate the ability to bypass insurance paperwork, bureaucracy and billing codes in order to focus on what matters most: patient outcomes.
Sesame has raised $75 million so far from investors that include GV, Virgin Group and General Catalyst. The company was ranked #1 by Healthline for overall care in 2021, 2022 and 2023, as well as Best for Doctor Choice in 2023 by Forbes and most affordable telehealth in 2023 by CNET.
