Job Summary:

As the EGSE Engineer at Phase Four, you will be responsible for the design of electrical test equipment supporting flight hardware and R&D programs. A successful candidate for this role will demonstrate exceptional leadership, integrity, empathy, technical acumen, and a strong work ethic to support the team. This role requires candidate to be on-site at our Hawthorne, CA, location.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, test, and implement turnkey electrical GSE systems
  • Release of engineering drawings, schematics, system specifications, and interface control documents for EGSE
  • Author test plans and procedures
  • Define and validate electrical interfaces between GSE tools and flight hardware
  • Interpret component performance specifications and Interface Control Documents (ICD)
  • Coordinate GSE tool development via onsite fabrication resources, as well as off site vendors/ suppliers
  • Train other engineers and provide documentation on how to use EGSE
  • Plan and participate in onsite and offsite operations which utilize GSE systems

Required Qualifications / Skills:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering (Aerospace, Electrical, Software)
  • 4+ years of experience in relevant engineering position (6 + years experience, including managing)
  • Experience designing test hardware
  • Experience with wiring and electrical diagrams
  • Experience with harness drawings
  • Experience building controls racks
  • Experience with LabVIEW and Python
  • Experience with CAD programs (Solidworks and PDM preferred)
  • Experience with satellite environmental test programs per NASA and MIL-STD requirements
  • Experience with early life-cycle satellite engineering activities and integration and test

Salary Range:

  • $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 Annually
  • Senior - $140,000.00 - $170,000.00 Annually

Our Interview Process:

We understand that interviewing is an art that takes time on both sides of the spectrum. Phase Four's interview process is as follows:

  1. Phone Interview with our Recruiting Team - 15-30 minutes - Where we learn about you, your experience, and what you're looking for in a new role, as well as give you a chance to learn about us, the role, and any questions you may have. If progressing to next step;
  2. Video Interview with the Hiring Manager - 30 minutes - This interview reviews the technical aspects of the role as well as your technical background. This is a great time for both you and the hiring manager to get more in depth about the expectations and technical mindset needed for the role. If progressing to next step;
  3. In-Person Interview - 90-120 minutes - Join us for an in-person interview at our office. During this time, you'll get to meet our team, tour our facility, and see what we do at Phase Four! If progressing to next step;
