Role Summary
Role: Harness Design Engineer (Zuken E3) Contractor
Location: Fremont, CA
Department: Hardware Engineering (EE)
Responsibilities
- Design and develop wiring harnesses for electric vehicles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to ensure harness integration.
- Utilize Zuken E3 design software to create detailed schematics and layouts.
- Manage technical specifications and documentation for harness components.
- Conduct analysis and validation of harness designs to meet safety standards.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for harness production.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve harness-related issues during prototyping.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design processes.
- Support the installation and testing of harnesses in prototypes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Harness Design Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency with Zuken E3 design software is mandatory.
- Strong understanding of electric vehicle systems and components.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Experience with CAD software is an advantage.
- Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory requirements for EVs.
