About the role

Parallel is looking for a lead full stack developer to be a member of the founding team. We are building a distributed system with massive scalability requirements. This key player will help design and build our API and web app, work with the founders to execute the vision, and play a major role in growing the Company and Engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership to build the product release roadmap
• Lead building and maintaining Parallel’s core API and web app
• Establish engineering best practices for the company and our customers
• Mentor future technical hires

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production applications
• 3+ years current TypeScript experience (Node.js, React)
• Experience designing internal and customer-facing APIs
• Be obsessed with UX, Developer Experience, and clean code
• Pacific or Mountain timezone

Nice to have

• Experience building load testing, monitoring, observability, or related systems
• Familiarity with: NestJS, Postgres, Redis, Time-Series Databases, Redux, Chart.js, WebSockets
