ABOUT NEUSPERA MEDICAL, INC.

Neuspera Medical, Inc. is an exciting early-stage medical device company with a uniquely positioned neuromodulation technology platform, headquartered in San Jose, CA, that is committed to bringing forward implantable medical device technology that will improve lives of patients battling with chronic illness. The first application of the company’s technology will be for the treatment of Overactive Bladder.

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Director of Marketing is responsible for the development and implementation of strategies and tactics for the launch of the company’s first device intended for the treatment of Overactive Bladder.

Through development and cultivation of strong relationships with surgeons and clinical product champions this individual identifies future business opportunities and unmet needs and incorporates them into a product roadmap providing Neuspera a strong competitive edge. The Director of Marketing develops business cases and executes marketing strategies based on clearly formulated Customer Value Propositions and Health Economics. Furthermore, at this stage of the company’s development, the Director of Marketing executes customer facing and communication tactics with a combination of internal and external partners.

The Director of Marketing is a member of the Executive Leadership Team.

JOB DUTIES

  • Lead launch strategy preparation and execution in close collaboration with other functions
  • Lead coordination of a companywide product roadmap ensuring strategic fit
  • Lead the processes for identification of market needs and work closely with R&D to identify corresponding solutions
  • Drive execution of key deliverables within the Product Development Process
  • Maintain expertise within the prioritized fields by attending tradeshows, physician conferences and other sources for competitive dynamics
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with initially Urologists and Uro-Gynecologists, and other physician specialists to prepare for additional applications of the company’s technology in other therapy areas
  • Develop a company-wide market and competitive intelligence capability
  • Oversee the company’s external communication plan across channels
  • Support fundraising and business development activities
  • Maintain a goal oriented, collaborative & productive work environment
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

  • Strategic thinking with an ability to translate market needs to Customer Value Propositions and business opportunities
  • The interest and ability to translate strategic planning to tactical execution
  • Active role in refining company business model based on customer touch points and fit to value proposition
  • Collaborate cross functionally to gain alignment and drive timely decision making
  • Building and maintaining a network of clinical Key Opinion Leaders across therapeutic areas relevant for the future of neuromodulation
  • Possess a positive, people-centric leadership style and have a track record of enhancing a culture where people love to work, grow their capabilities, and do their best work in pursuit of a vision
  • Proven leader with a strong results orientation, positive “hands on” attitude, and sense of urgency

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Master’s degree in business
  • Results driven, collaborative team player capable of working well with others, as well as autonomously with limited direction
  • A background in Urology / Uro-Gynecology or neuromodulation/active implantable devices preferred
  • Practical experience with all aspects of development and execution of launch and go to market strategies essential
  • Strong clinical knowledge and aptitude and comfortable working with physicians in operating room and office setting
  • Excels at seeking influence and facilitating team-based problem solving
  • Strong analytical skills with demonstrated financial and strategic capabilities
  • Proven experience in strategic and tactical aspects of product launches
  • Ambitious and driven with a flexible mindset to handle changes in dynamic environment that often has ambiguity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Compensation:

Based on market data and other factors, the salary range for this position is $175,000 - $200,000. However, a salary higher or lower than this range may be appropriate for a candidate whose qualifications differ meaningfully from those listed in the job description.
