At Neo, we’re on a mission to build a more rewarding financial future for all Canadians. Life at a rapidly expanding tech startup isn’t for everyone. It’s complex, fast-paced, high-pressure, but also incredibly fulfilling. Since its founding in 2019, Neo has gained incredible traction and is one of the fastest-growing fintech companies in Canada.

The Role

We are looking for a HR Generalist to join our Talent Operations team! This role will play a key part in supporting and administering our total rewards programs, including benefits, payroll, equity administration, and compensation processes. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and to ensure smooth and efficient operations that enhance the employee experience.

If you are detail-oriented, passionate about employee well-being, and thrive in a dynamic, people-first environment, we’d love to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Benefits Administration: Support day-to-day benefits administration, including processing enrollments, changes, and terminations. Assist employees with benefits-related inquiries and escalate complex issues as needed.
  • Payroll Support: Assist in preparing payroll-related documentation, verifying employee data, and ensuring accurate reporting to payroll providers. Respond to employee payroll inquiries.
  • Equity Administration: Maintain accurate records of equity grants, assist employees with questions, and support compliance documentation and reporting.
  • Compensation & Total Rewards Support: Provide administrative assistance with salary benchmarking, compensation reports, and data entry for compensation structures.
  • HR & People Operations Support: Maintain employee records, support compliance reporting, and assist with audits related to total rewards programs.
  • Process Coordination: Help coordinate total rewards programs by managing documentation, processing employee changes, and supporting communication efforts.

Who we are looking for:

  • Experience: 2+ years in People Operations, Total Rewards, Benefits, Payroll, or related HR functions.
  • Knowledge of Total Rewards Programs: Familiarity with benefits, payroll processes, compensation, and/or equity administration would be considered an asset
  • Detail-Oriented & Analytical: Strong ability to manage data, analyze trends, and ensure accuracy in total rewards administration.
  • Employee-Focused: Ability to communicate complex information in a clear and supportive way to employees.
