The Role

Motorq is growing rapidly to support its expanding customer base, automotive OEM partnerships and integrations, and product feature set. Motorq’s core products – car data and insights - are delivered through a suite of technical interfaces (e.g., API, streaming) and SaaS applications.

We are looking for a world-class Product Manager to join our team and own our data integrations with Automotive OEMs and additional partners.

The ideal candidate has experience leveraging vehicle telematics to deliver insights, either in an engineering or product function. Through close collaboration with our automotive OEM partners, enterprise customers, and internal teams, this individual will be instrumental in increasing the breadth, depth, and quality of our data integrations.

This role is full-time and will be based out of the San Francisco Bay Area.

Key Outcomes & Responsibilities

  • Defining and delivering products, features, and enhancements to meet and exceed the customer and market needs - primarily related to data integrations with OEMs, aftermarket devices, and other data partners and downstream analytics outputs
    • Developing and documenting clear and comprehensive product requirements
    • Ensuring high quality outputs (telemetry data and insights) across our integrated partners via metrics monitoring, partner collaboration, in-vehicle testing, and other approaches
    • Collaborating closely with the Engineering and Data Science teams to execute against product requirements and business-driven timelines
  • Owning resolution of issues with OEM and aftermarket device partners that may impact data availability, quality, and latency via close collaboration with external and internal stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement in feature availability and system performance of our OEM and aftermarket device partners through close collaboration and relationship building

Education & experience

  • Bachelors degree in an engineering or technical field
  • 1+ year(s) working in an auto-related industry or having strong knowledge of automotive systems
  • 1+ year(s) working in a software engineering, data scientist, or product capacity on a data-focused or data-enabled software product
