Responsibilities:

- Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality tools and test frameworks.

- Understanding requirements and creating a robust test planning and strategy.

- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Developers, Product Managers, and DevOps, to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Defining best test practices throughout the various stages of the test pyramid.

- Owning and delivering releases with high quality, including building tools and utilities for automating the release and quality process.

- Building scalable and reliable frameworks for non-functional requirements.

- Implementing and maintaining continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for automated testing.

- Conducting code reviews and providing feedback on the testability and quality of the codebase.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.

- 4+ years of experience as an SDET, specialising in developing automation tools and strategies.

- Proficiency in OOPs Languages, distributed systems, and object-oriented design, with a preference for Javascript, Typescript, Python, or GoLang.

- Strong experience with databases, networking, and CS fundamentals.

- Proficient in writing complex SQL queries.

- Deep understanding of engineering processes, including Agile methodologies.

- Experience with Non-functional testing, such as performance, scale, and security.

- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with attention to detail.

- Experience working with state-of-the-art test automation frameworks.

- Experience in CI/CD integrations, pipeline automation, and building reporting infrastructure.

- Experienced in working with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Strong sense of ownership and ability to set appropriate quality expectations.

Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with data analytics and big data technologies such as Kafka, Hadoop, and Spark.

Experience working on stateful streaming systems is considered advantageous.
