The impact
As the first Engineering Manager at Method, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering culture and driving technical excellence. You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing our team’s performance, resource allocation, and technical infrastructure, and you will work very closely with the executive leadership team and cross-functionally with Customer success, Product and GTM leaders to drive strategic engineering decisions.
What you'll do
Lead and mentor a team of ~8 engineers, conducting performance reviews and implementing talent management strategies to optimize team performance and growth.
Oversee resource allocation across projects, ensuring efficient utilization of our engineering talent and alignment with company priorities.
Develop and implement technical strategies to enhance our infrastructure, processes, and overall architecture.
Drive execution speed by optimizing workflows, removing bottlenecks, and implementing best practices in engineering processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and execute on the product roadmap, ensuring alignment between technical capabilities and business objectives.
Contribute to hiring and onboarding processes to build and scale a high-performing engineering team.
Who you are
6+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.
Strong technical background with hands-on experience in full-stack development, preferably with JavaScript, React, Node.js, and NoSQL databases.
Experience in a growth stage start-up, ideally in the Series A - D size
Experience building out 0 > 1 engineering processes such as a release cadence or resource allocation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Passion for staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, particularly in the FinTech space.
Extra awesome
Experience in Finance / FinTech industries.

The annual US base salary range for this role is: $215,000-$250,000.
