NetSuite Developer (Remote)

*This position is fully remote. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in Pacific Coast time, and there may be future travel to HQ in San Francisco required.*

The Netsuite Developer will be responsible for administering and continued improvement of the NetSuite ERP system at Madison Reed. The position requires a highly dedicated individual who can deliver results in a high growth, ever-evolving environment.

The ideal candidate has experience leading end to end implementation of NetSuite with strong domain expertise in the Finance, Ordering and Inventory Management capabilities.

The ideal candidate will conceptualize business needs and can formulate solutions from both the technical and business points of view.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Configure new software systems based on user requirements. Proactively monitor, identify, document, and resolve ongoing day-to-day business issues pertaining to system functionality.
  • Development of Scripts and Workflows to Enhance NetSuite
  • Create, Maintain, Optimize existing NetSuite customizations
  • Interface with business users to drive solutions in a timely manner
  • Conducts unit testing of all development work performed
  • Assisting in troubleshooting, identifying root causes, and driving resolutions as needed
  • Work on projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested
  • Strong experience of API development and hands on experience in the development of RESTful web services
  • Manage from start to finish the overall analysis, testing, and execution process testing for ongoing NetSuite upgrades
  • Improve existing systems or processes by assessing current state and recommending alternative feasible solutions.
  • Develop best in class processes and write systems procedures to support data and systems integrity.
  • Write and maintain documentation for ongoing technical support and training documentation for business users.
  • Assist business teams with data validation as needed. Write automated data validation scripts to ensure data integrity across systems.

Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field (CS, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Mathematics, or Engineering)
  • 3+ years’ experience with NetSuite's customization platform, including SuiteScript (V1 and V2), Suiteflow, Suitetalk and SuiteBuilder
  • Strong JavaScript skills and knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • Experience administering and customizing NetSuite OneWorld Edition
  • Creative problem solver who can think beyond the status quo and architect technical solutions to business problems
  • Strong relationship building and excellent spoken written communication skills
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast paced and continually evolving environment
  • Experience with various systems architectures including client-server, web-based, service oriented.
  • Experience in implementing supply chain, inventory management, and/or financial reporting systems.
  • Must be legally authorized to work within the USA without sponsorship.

Highly Desirable Experience (Plus not a must):

  • Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  • Experience as a Data Engineer or ETL Developer or in a similar role with exposure to multiple languages including Python
  • Programming Experience in Node.js, MySQL, MongoDB is a plus
  • Experience with AWS cloud services (Lambda, ElasticSearch, and Kinesis a plus)
