We are looking to add an inspiring, collaborative, and results-focused SVP, Brokerage Sales to our leadership team, who will be responsible for leading the enterprise Sales team on their quest to acquire new enterprise shippers! We are on a mission to be the premier provider of sophisticated transportation solutions. We require an experienced hands-on leader to expand our business and develop and build relationships with new clients while positioning Loadsmart to become trusted by all shippers.
JOB TYPE: Exempt
LOCATION: Remote with regular travel to Chicago at least monthly
DEPARTMENT: Sales

WHAT YOU GET TO DO:

  • Lead the enterprise Sales team to acquire new enterprise shippers in our freight brokerage division
  • Identify customer needs and oversee the delivery of integrated solutions that address those needs
  • Lead the team to deliver against revenue forecasts for our freight brokerage
  • Design overall enterprise sale strategies that will drive the nurturing of relationships and build trust and confidence
  • Collaborate with other teams including product, finance and engineering to deliver on commitments to customers and provide solutions
  • Partner with marketing to align marketing activities including strategic customer forums and advisory boards, and determine appropriate conference sponsoring and coverage
  • Work with Account management leadership to develop an efficient portfolio of customer experience insights and analytics that provide an integrated single view of each shippers’ requirements and areas of opportunity
  • In collaboration with product, proactively identify shippers’ pain points and how the adoption of technology can deliver tangible results
  • Develop customer experience performance dashboards that connect lagging indicators of market performance and leading indicators of team performance related to key drivers of customer lifetime value
  • Be an ambassador of the Loadsmart brand via your direct involvement with new customers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 15+ years of freight brokerage leadership experience in sales
  • More than two senior-level sales leadership roles previously, such as head of sales or VP of Sales
  • Drive sales growth, develop go-to-market strategies and, manage executive relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to create a shared vision, inspire collaboration, and drive change with momentum
  • Strong ability to engage with key decision makers and driving share of wallet initiatives
  • Proven ability to develop consultative relationships with customers and strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams
  • Results-driven and committed to identifying and tackling new business opportunities, driving new process efficiencies, and building high performing teams
  • Ability to quickly grasp and distinctly explain technological and business concepts; strong analytical and strategic thinker
  • Work experience in multiple P&L units or multiple functional areas, such as marketing, quality, service, etc.
* Due to position requirements, this position cannot be performed in New York City or the states of Colorado, Washington, or California.
