As an Additive Technician at Impulse, you’ll have the opportunity to drive and optimize production of additively manufactured components. You will work closely with additive engineers to deliver critical propulsion components with maximum efficiency and quality.

Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently operate and maintain several assets, including:
- Metal Laser Powder Bed Fusion (M-LPBF) printers
- Multi-Axis Depowder Machine
- Wire EDM
- Instron Test Stand (Tensile)
- Small-Scale Quality Equipment
- Full support of additive part post-processing (support removal, grind/polish, surface treatments, clean, etc.)
- Perform work instructions without deviation and provide feedback to improve the process
- Keep a clean, organized, and thoroughly maintain workspace
- Develop and implement efficiency and/or safety improvement projects
- Maintain consumable supply inventory
- Perform verification and validation activities through visual or optical inspection, use small scale quality equipment to take measurements
- Author clear and concise non-conformance reports (issue tickets) to support disposition of deviating hardware
- Maintain upkeep and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Minimum Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent certificate
- 3+ years working in a production/manufacturing environment
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 4+ years operating and maintaining LPBF printers and EDM
- Demonstrated basic knowledge of, and experience safely running CNC and/or manual milling machines
- Use of small-scale quality equipment such as borescope, microscope, profilometer, height gauges, and willingness to learn overtime.
- Willing to work flexible hours to maintain production schedule of multiple printers
- Ability to operate a forklift
Additional Information:
- Ability to wear a full-face respirator for extended periods of time is required
- Must be able to lift up to 25lbs. unassisted
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
