WHY WE NEED YOU
Hydrow’s data team is seeking a Data Analyst to specialize in Marketing analytics. This role is critical to helping Marketing stakeholders understand their channels’ performance on a day-to-day basis as well as comparative channel performance via attribution modeling and cohort analyses. This Marketing analyst will help round out our data and analytics function by leveraging a number of data sources and multiple data practices from modeling to dashboarding to ensure data clarity, consistent tracking, and actionable insights are found. A successful candidate is one that can clearly understand business goals, shows resilience to data problems in a fast-paced environment, and can synthesize analyses into compelling narratives that drive decisions. This role will report to the head of Analytics and join a data team of 2 others; each also wears several different organizational hats.
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
- Support data roadmap goals by executing the creation of an attribution framework for our marketing channels. This includes a proposal for storing channel level data, a model framework for attribution, and devising a dashboard to showcase and integrate results with key marketing data including spend and sales.
- Partner with broader marketing team, including Direct Marketing, Ecommerce, Creative teams to allow for digital marketing data activations, identify reporting gaps and potential growth opportunities through analyses
- Help facilitate weekly recaps of core company KPIs; be able to pinpoint where relevant data trends impact core KPIs.
- Ensure all marketing team members can adequately track and gain insights into their channel’s performance through detailed dashboard visualizations, including Search, Social, Affiliate, CTV, SEO, Email/CRM, and more
- Assist on ad hoc marketing analysis to better understand efficiencies of channels, promotions, interventions, etc. Bonus points if you have statistical expertise with analyses like regressions and attribution.
- Work on the development of the technology roadmap to capture, manage, and leverage customer/consumer data to improve digital marketing and personalization initiatives
WHO YOU ARE
- Technical (with Marketing and Attribution Data): You are an expert with web analytics and marketing data and have worked with attribution models and databases in the past. Bonus points for any expertise in the following: GA4, Netsuite, Shopify, SEMRush, Google Search Console, Hubspot, Talkable, Amazon Ads and 1P, Google Ads, Meta Ads.
- Data Native: You have 3+ years’ experience with dashboard and data visualization creation with a proven track record assuming ownership, moving quickly to implement ideas, and delivering results and in a fast-paced e-commerce environment. You have deep knowledge of data platforms and analytics tools, including BI Expertise (Domo/Tableau), SQL, Python, and Excel.
- Critical Analytical Thinker: You are comfortable and familiar with collecting and analyzing internal and external data. With a data driven mindset, you pinpoint and articulate problem areas and are comfortable in an environment of change and improvement. You are confident in creating and presenting solutions to your cross functional partners and leaders. You have at least a basic understanding of statistical testing and experimentation.
- Collaborative & Communicative: You work hard and work well with other departments and teams. You listen to feedback and listen to your team and co-workers needs and expectations. You ensure the teams you work with know where projects stand. You have a strong ability to prioritize projects with minimal supervision.
Hydrow has recently updated many of our data sources, including switching from GAU to GA4, adding BigQuery, replatforming our website, adding new channels like Amazon, and starting new attribution tracking.
