WHO WE ARE
If you ask us, we’re the perfect mix of athletes, entrepreneurs, engineers, and creatives. Our diverse backgrounds and shared values are what help make Hydrow great. Our mission is not just to create an amazing fitness experience, but a beautiful human experience - one that’s honest, inclusive, and positive.. Hydrow is the Live Outdoor Reality (LOR)™ rowing machine that delivers on-water experiences at home with workouts led by world-class athletes. At Hydrow, you’ll have the chance to shape a company that is disrupting the fitness industry while creating engaging content unmatched in the marketplace today. Sound exciting? That’s because it is!
WHY WE NEED YOU
The Unit B Audio/Visual Technical Producer will work alongside the Unit B Director and Production Leader as a team. Together, the team will capture on water rowing as well as yoga and strength/mobility workouts on land in a variety of stunning outdoor locations both domestic and abroad. The Unit B Audio/Visual Technical Producer will also help create YouTube and various marketing media showcasing our trademarked “Live Outdoor Reality” experience. In this role, the primary strength we’re looking for is audio expertise and someone who loves to work outside and do it all - audio, some video, occasionally live switching and broadcasting - often from a boat!.
We believe in the power of small, nimble teams and great teammates. We are seeking someone who loves solving the inevitable video and audio challenges as they arise with creativity, calm, and good humor. We need someone who enjoys the physicality of lugging multiple Pelican cases through the airport or onto the film boat and at the same time has the technical know-how to see and take action on opportunities to innovate on the process of how we do what we do. If you’re the kind of person who will look up from their seat while switching multiple cameras while winding down the Charles River in Boston, or the waterways of Switzerland, Alaska, California, Brazil, Florida, Texas, Spain, the Czech Republic, or any of the other myriad places we go, grins, and says to themselves, “Is this really my job? This is my office?” then let’s talk.
This role is Boston, Massachusetts based with regular travel and reports to the Unit A Technical Director.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Able to adjust quickly to changing priorities, conditions and able to cope effectively with complexity
  • Someone who maintains a clear head and stable performance when under pressure and time constraints
  • A collaborator that connects with your teammates to establish a positive, supportive working environment
