WHY WE NEED YOU
The Content Marketing Manager role will own the thought leadership and content engagement engine for Hydrow across blog, social media, and YouTube. You will build a calendar of key content topics that capitalize on the expertise of our world-class athletes which span disciplines including rowing, strength training, yoga, nutrition, pilates, circuit training, and more. You will write blog articles and coordinate with the video production team who will create and edit assets. Both text and video content will be distributed across numerous channels to drive brand awareness, product consideration, new member sales, and retention.

WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH

  • Work cross functionally with Product Marketing, Athletes, Experience (video content production), CRM, eCommerce (website), and other teams to create and manage a content calendar that continues to build Hydrow’s voice in the fitness/wellness space.
  • Research key content topics where there is a significant audience and Hydrow has the expertise to share knowledge and build brand affinity with consumers.
  • Write entertaining, insightful, and SEO-optimized long-form content that helps drive organic traffic to the Hydrow website.
  • Act as the marketing content leader to spearhead the effort to take the experience of working out on a Hydrow rower and communicate the value that the variety of workouts and modalities, on-the-water destinations, and athletes and functional experts, and coaching brings to the experience.
  • Partner with our Social Media Manager, Website Director, and CRM team to distribute content across channels.
  • Learn from content performance data to optimize the strategy on a continuous basis.
  • Own content performance KPIs across engagement, traffic, email capture, and conversion.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Experience: 4+ years of marketing experience, hands-on exposure to managing social media channels.
  • Ownership: Impact-driven, self-starter mentality and excitement about growing impactful marketing channels for Hydrow.
  • Collaboration: You have a strong work ethic and a natural ability to collaborate well with others across the organization and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly-fluid environment
  • Communication: You have strong collaboration, communication and presentation skills to inform, encourage and implement impactful marketing initiatives
  • Organization and planning: Strong project management skills including conceptualization, driving alignment, planning resources, managing deadlines and objectives
  • Location: Based in the Boston, MA area (preferred).
