We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Engineer who will participate on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning.

About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and technically adept Field Test Engineer to enable rapid product development for our customers. This role offers a unique blend of on-site testing, customer interaction, and travel opportunities. As a Field Test Engineer, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and assist with the testing and validation of systems, while also gaining invaluable experience in real-world applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career engineer looking to build a career in testing and systems engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct testing of hardware and software systems to validate performance, functionality, and quality standards
• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and documentation for various systems and products
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in both hardware and software environments
• Provide technical support during on-site testing and customer demonstrations
• Work closely with the engineering team to ensure test results are documented and analyzed for continuous improvement
• Engage in hands-on testing and work on marine and water-based systems, with the ability to adapt quickly to field conditions
• Maintain safety and quality standards during testing, both in the lab and on-site with customers

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years of experience in testing, systems engineering, or a technical field
• Strong technical aptitude, with a basic understanding of software, hardware, and systems integration
• Comfortable with hands-on work in testing environments, including systems setup and troubleshooting
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers and technical teams effectively
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Comfortable on the water and able to work in various field environments (marine settings, onboard vessels, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving technical issues
• Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
• Must be eligible to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience with automated testing tools or test management software
• Familiarity with embedded systems or marine engineering
• Basic understanding of networking or communication protocols
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in field environments
• Drone Piloting Capability
• Familiarity with small boat operations

Location:

• East Providence, Rhode Island

Compensation and Benefits:

• The target salary range for this position is $80,000 - $110,000
