  • Negotiation and Closing: Lead the sales process from initial contact to contract to implementation and sell-through. Manage all aspects of the sales cycle, including proposal generation, contract discussions, and finalizing agreements as necessary.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies, and regulatory changes in the financial services industry, particularly within the RIA sector. Utilize this knowledge to adapt and refine sales strategies.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, marketplace sales, legal/compliance and product management to ensure a seamless customer experience and maximize the value delivered to clients.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline. Provide regular forecasts and reports to management on sales progress, wins, and challenges.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of enterprise sales experience in the financial services industry, preferably with strong exposure to RIAs. Experience selling financial technology, asset management solutions, or related products/services is highly preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the advisory business model, including portfolio management, financial planning, compliance, and investment strategies, particularly alternative investments.
  • Sales expertise with a proven track record of success in B2B sales, with experience selling complex, enterprise-level solutions. Strong negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Skilled at managing relationships, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to engage and influence senior executives and stakeholders at RIA firms.
  • Must be comfortable with financial technology and asset management platforms and solutions, with the ability to quickly learn new products and articulate their value to prospective clients.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven independent environment. Demonstrated success in meeting or exceeding sales quotas and KPIs.
  • Willingness to travel as required to conferences and/or to visit clients.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field. Advanced certifications (CFP, CFA) are a plus but not required.
