Overview

Groups delivers a proven, evidence-based model of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT), considered the gold standard for the treatment of opiate use disorder by the American Society for Addiction Medicine (ASAM) and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Association (SAMHSA). We empower our members to regain control of their lives through a combination of therapy and medication.

Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant (1099) Requirements:

  • Active, Unencumbered State License (NP/PA) in Tennessee.
  • Active, Individual DEA with address listed in Tennessee (please note that if you intend on prescribing in multiple states, a separate DEA is required in each state in which you are planning on prescribing).
  • PMHNP Preferred; Minimum of 1+ Years Direct Experience Prescribing Buprenorphine.
  • Proof of Active Board Certification.
  • Ability to work in-office 5 hours weekly at our Nashville location OR our Greeneville, Johnson City, or Kingsport locations at least 5 hours per week.

Nurse Practitioner/ Physician Assistant (1099):

  • Assist in conducting intakes. Providers see patients after they have already undergone an extensive evaluation by the counselor.
  • Monitor patients' clinical progress at regular group counseling sessions. Groups are run by specialized counseling staff; providers participate by answering questions and managing patients’ medication dosing.
  • Authorize patients' prescriptions during monthly visits with patient panels.
  • Complete all notes and reporting in Groups EMR system within required timeline (providers receive full orientation/ training on Clinical Protocols before eligible to begin work with Groups)

* We utilize strict protocols to guide clinical decision-making. We have also developed a unique, technology-driven and team-based clinical system that handles all day-to-day patient management and regulatory compliance. This allows physicians to focus exclusively on medical management.
