Overview
Salary: $20.67/hr to $22.11
Hours/Schedule: Flexible schedule Monday - Friday. Options for a shorter day on Fridays. Must have availability for two evenings per week as needed.
Must have an active Certification as a Peer Recovery Advocate (CPRA) in the State of New York, or in progress of obtaining one.
Founded in 2014, Groups Recover Together is a national leader in value-based care for opioid use disorder. We empower our members with community support, outpatient group therapy, and medication to manage withdrawal. Our unique model emphasizes a team approach, providing each member with a personalized care team and integrating treatment into their everyday lives.
Responsibilities
As a Recovery Support Specialist, you'll work closely with new and existing members, assisting them in their recovery journey. Your responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, member-centered care.
- Assisting members with goal setting and progress through individual coaching and support.
- Maintaining open office hours weekly and providing in-person and virtual support.
- Helping members navigate community services, medical appointments, and recovery support.
- Advocating for members and linking them with essential resources.
- Participating in group therapy and maintaining accurate documentation.
- Engage in community outreach activities and education, as necessary.
Qualifications
- Two years of experience in case management, care navigation, or peer support.
- Strong knowledge of motivational interviewing, substance use treatment, and community resources.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with diverse populations.
- Must meet all state-specific pre-employment requirements and maintain professional standards.
