Overview:

Grata is the first search engine for company discovery, providing a single source of truth for investors into small and medium-sized companies. Grata users save hours a week (if not days) on their research into millions of small and medium businesses due to our cutting-edge search technology (leveraging ‘Generative AI,’ ‘NLP’ and ‘ML’). Design is one of the key reasons we are leading in the market, and why users chose us over the competition.

We’ve recently experienced significant growth and raised capital from top investors who built Google and transformed the finance industry. We are now looking to add another designer to our team. As a product designer, you’ll have a major impact in shaping the design of all products and marketing at Grata.

In this role you’ll:

  • Partner closely with PMs, Engineers, and company leadership to launch critical features and improvements in the product (web, iOS, and android)
  • Learn our customer, understand their goals and pain points, listen to their feedback, and translate those insights into successful designs and product decisions.
  • Lead initiatives and features across the entire product - doing hands-on user research, UX design, UI design, and working closely with engineering to ensure successful product launches.
  • Design with lean startup pragmatism, while simultaneously ensuring consistency, polish, and delight throughout the entire product experience.
  • Collaborate on Grata’s design processes and systems, helping to create a design-forward company that puts end user experience at the center of everything.
  • Partner closely with our marketing team to design visuals promoting Grata and these new
  • Report to our Product Design Lead

About You:

  • 2-4 years in-house product design experience
  • Proficient in Figma
  • Detail oriented with a track record of taking products from inception to successful launch, including UX, UI, user research and design QA.
  • Track record of creating clean, beautiful UI, with an understanding reusable UI components (bonus points for maintaining UI systems)
  • User-centered design thinker and problem solver, with experience conducting effective user research and user testing
  • Great collaborator and communicator with cross-functional teams such as engineering, product management, customer success and marketing
  • Based in New York City or willing to relocate, and open to a hybrid working environment requiring at least 3 days in-office per week

Nice to Have:

  • Background or experience with marketing design or graphic design
  • B2B experience or experience designing powerful search applications
