What We Need
A Facilities Supervisor to be the Asset Maintenance expert in taking care of our most prized possessions: our tiny cabins, the land they live on, and the team that keeps them going. A multi skilled, working supervisor of maintenance with the ability to be a positive partner with General Manager team leadership proficiency. The success of our Outposts depends on our leaders and their teams.
You are a remarkably thoughtful and positive leader , a multi-skilled building maintenance tradesperson, meticulously neat, organized, and enjoy working with your hands to fix and maintain the outpost assets. Safety and operational efficiency is in your working supervisor DNA. You’re a hospitality-minded soul with an eye for all the little things; an entrepreneurial co-owner of our business who thrives in fast-paced environments and uses a solution base problem solving mentality to enhance our Guest and Team Experience.
What You’ll Do
Delight Our Guests
- Perform cabin and Infrastructure preventive maintenance and on-request repairs “glitches” in a timely manner, whether by self performing, assignment of Facilities Technician or in special circumstances dispatching trade contractors.
- Provide excellent customer service by monitoring the guest ticketing system to ensure tickets are answered in a timely manner, including on emergency occasions nights and weekends.
- Ensure every cabin is perfectly staged for every guest including cleaning and staging the interior of the cabin (bathroom, kitchen, dining, and bed area), cleaning and staging the exterior of the cabin (picnic table and fire pit area), doing laundry, and placing welcome items/provisions.
- Assist GM and AGM by occasionally performing “Spot” inspections on cleaned cabins to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness are being met for our guests.
- Create and execute ideas to surprise and delight guests; aim to make every interaction personal, meaningful, and memorable.
- Analyze guest feedback and create a plan to resolve glitches.
Captain The Team
- Steward the culture as a natural leader; operate with integrity and sound judgment, always respect your team and our guests, and hold yourself accountable.
- Serve as the first point of contact and manager on duty for the team whenever the General Manager and Assistant General Manager are off.
- Assist in the recruitment, on-boarding, training, and personal and professional development of our part-time team members with a direct focus on our Facilities Technician & Trail Runners.

Own The Operation
- Test new ideas, measure the results and embrace honest feedback in the spirit of always improving day-to-day operations.
- Oversee, schedule, and perform periodic preventative maintenance on cabins (cabin integrity, woodwork, plumbing, electrical fixtures, and interior/exterior equipment), with 100% program completion monthly.
- Oversee, schedule, and perform periodic landscaping maintenance for both the Outpost and Residential grounds.
- Maintain par stock of facilities-related supplies to optimum quantity levels and working conditions.
- Review and help GM, manage labor, operating supply, and maintenance budgets to track progress toward goals.
- Help drive KPIs; operate with less than 1% of bookings with a cleanliness issue, achieve a minimum of a 90% score on a secret shopper report, and maintain a competitive NPS score.
- Adhere to and champion by example Getaway’s safety policies and practices at all times to maintain a safe work environment for Guests and Staff.
Who You Are
- Experienced in directly overseeing facilities maintenance technicians (2-4+ years).
- Experienced in industries similar to hospitality, residential multi-family, small health care or education (3+ years).
- Experienced in successfully managing infrastructure systems programs and contractors (3+ years).
- Experienced working in compliance with regulatory and trade safety such as ADA, OSHA, NFPA and other AHJ guidelines and policies (2+ years).
- Knowledgeable and proficient in handyman trades including plumbing, electrical, carpentry/cabinetry, painting, and other miscellaneous small appliance repair skills.
- Experienced in utilizing technology and apps to work more efficiently.
- A lover of the outdoors; happy to work outside during all seasonal weather conditions.
- 18 years of age, or older.

- Some lifting and the movement of moderate loads requires a 75-pound lifting requirement.
- This individual is responsible for cleaning and sanitation and is responsible for working with approved cleaning supplies.
- The ability to report for work at the prescribed time for each scheduled shift and to fulfill the job requirements for the duration of the shift or until relieved of all duties by a direct supervisor.
- The ability to interact productively and cordially with co-workers.
- The ability to understand and follow posted work rules and procedures.
- The ability to receive constructive criticism in a professional manner.
- The ability to perform all work-related tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
- It is required that you have your own registered vehicle and a valid driver’s license, as you will be required to drive safely to fulfill your role.
When You Will Work
- Full-time hours are likely to include holidays, weekends, day shifts, occasional night shifts, short shifts, and long shifts.
- On-call availability, in addition to normal hours.
