About the Internship:

Projects may involve exploration of products and/or process problems, definition and selection of new concepts and approaches, origination or modification of material, component and process specifications and requirements
Apply mechanical engineering principles in the design and analysis of components, sub system and system
Diagnose and investigate the root-cause of part, assembly or design failures
Communicate and collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to provide updates and provide task deliverables
Support prototype and production pilot builds and resolve technical and quality issues
Work closely with senior engineers to develop and test new design and support analysis tasks
Work on substantive projects that have the potential to impact the future business of the company
Present the projects they have been involved with and lessons learned at the end of the internship

Qualifications:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Applied Physics
Proficient in GSuite (Google docs, sheets, etc)
Strong problem solving and analysis skills
Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or optical components
Course work on mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
