The Lead Silicon Architect role will drive architecture/microarchitecture definition and specification, tradeoffs, modeling, and drive the deliverables needed for design and implementation of our next generation Accelerated Compute Fabric chip.
Hardware Engineer / Lab Manager:
Engineer to support bring up, testing, and debug of hardware systems incorporating Enfabrica ASICs. Manage the hardware lab and support its functions.
Responsibilities:
Hardware bring up of systems incorporating Enfabrica’s ASICs
Debug and resolution of issues that arise internally and at customer sites
Electrical characterization of Enfabrica ASICs
Verification of standards compliance on electrical interfaces (Ethernet, PCIe, DDR5, I2C, …etc.)
Perform minor rework and fabrication
Maintain lab equipment and systems
Track and maintain HW/FW/SW systems, perform revision updates
Configure and test systems for customer deployment
Manage supplier relationships, order equipment and lab supplies
Stay up to date with relevant technologies, standards, and suppliers
Requirement to be able and willing to handle physical labor tasks related to lab equipment setup and management (e.g. receiving and moving equipment, packing and unpacking shipments, buildup, bench setup and teardown)
Experience and knowledge:
5-10 years working in a lab environment testing and debugging high performance systems
System design (ASIC, CPU, CPLD, power, thermal, SI, mechanical)
Schematic capture, high speed PCB layout tools
Working with remote and JDM teams
PCIe gen5+, 112G+ Ethernet, DDR5, intel/AMD CPU, BMC
Bring up and characterization of large scale custom ASICs
Debug of board and system level issues
Use of real time and sampling scopes, BERT, VNA, logic analyzer
PCIe, Ethernet, and DDR5 standards and compliance testing
Server and network management
Scripting and test automation
