Enfabrica is at the forefront of building cutting edge networking silicon and system software to drive the revolution in AI and accelerated computing infrastructure at scale. The Lead Silicon Architect role will drive architecture/microarchitecture definition and specification, tradeoffs, modeling, and drive the deliverables needed for design and implementation of our next generation Accelerated Compute Fabric chip.
What You Get to Do:
As a Chip Engineering Lead at Enfabrica, you will play a pivotal, high-impact role in executing the successful
design, development, and delivery of our AI networking silicon products. This involves owning the entire chip
development lifecycle, synthesizing and driving progress across architecture specification and modeling, RTL
design, verification, emulation, physical design, tapeout, post-silicon bringup and qualification, and production
deployment at customers. You will lead cross-functional teams and ensure the chip meets stringent technical
and commercial requirements, while driving the best achievable PPA and product technology attributes.
● Define and own the technical execution plan for our ACF-S chip designs, optimizing the silicon design
across multiple commercially critical dimensions.
● Spearhead technical innovation in silicon design, including high-performance datapath functionality,
control plane integration, network and accelerator system side interfaces, advanced switching and
traffic management, and low-power optimization.
● Collaborate with tier-1 customers to understand system-level use cases and tailor the chip definition
and execution to meet diverse requirements
● Manage end-to-end chip design to full production release, ensuring on-time delivery, manufacturability,
yield optimization, and high-quality in the field.
● Lead the tape-out process and oversee post-silicon bring-up, validation, and production qualification.
Qualifications:
● Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline relevant to
chip design, MS/PhD preferred, strong academic background and first principles knowledge of
semiconductors.
● A Minimum of 10+ years of demonstrated success in leading full-chip or large silicon IP subsystem
development from early architecture to production release, with preferred chip experience in advanced
interconnect technologies, NICs, switches, or similar I/O datapath products.
● A proven track record of being the go-to lead within a fast-paced organization leading high-performing
technical teams.
● Highly experienced in the design and development of advanced-process node infrastructure silicon and
deep technical understanding of digital and circuit design, chip design tool flows, semiconductor
physics, etc.Sound knowledge of networking technologies (congestion control, RDMA over network,
virtualization, packet processing, routing protocols) and hardware-software codevelopment.
● Deep experience with post-silicon bringup, testing, validation, characterization, product qualification,
and manufacturing flows including package and system design.
● Execution-focused leader with a proven track record of driving cross-functional teams to successfully
deliver complex chip designs on time and within specifications, from concept to production.
● Excellent engineering decision-making and communication skills, including:complex debug and root-
cause analysis; feature vs PPA tradeoffs; presenting complex topics to executive audiences and
customers.
● Years of expertise developed as an individual contributor in chip RTL design, verification, physical
design, and/or silicon product/test engineering..
About Us:
Enfabrica is on a mission to revolutionize AI compute systems and infrastructure at scale through the development of superior-scaling networking silicon and software which we call the Accelerated Compute Fabric. Founded and led by an executive team assembled from first-class semiconductor and distributed systems/software companies throughout the industry, Enfabrica sets themselves apart from other startups with a very strong engineering pedigree, a proven track record of delivering, deploying and scaling products in data center production environments, and significant investor support for our ambitious journey! Together, with their differentiated approach to solving the I/O bottlenecks in distributed AI and accelerated compute clusters, Enfabrica is unleashing the revolution in next-gen computing fabrics.
