Summary
As a Project Manager within the Engineering department at Enable, you will lead the execution of complex, cross-departmental projects. Reporting directly to the Director of Project Management, you are responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from the initial concept to successful delivery. Your role is crucial in steering all aspects of project management, including defining the project scope, coordinating timelines, allocating resources, and managing risks.
You will ensure that every project is aligned with our organizational goals, enhances engineering processes, and delivers effective outcomes. Your leadership is key not only to driving project success but also to promoting innovation and improving efficiency within Engineering. This position requires a seasoned professional, to meet varied stakeholder needs.
· Tasked with managing a program or portfolio of projects. But there’s no one-size-fits-all approach for senior project managers.
· Responsibilities can vary drastically from stakeholder to stakeholder
· Project managers will own Engineering and cross-departmental projects.
· They will work in collaboration with Customer Success on strategic customer engagements that involve Engineering and Product.
· You will be at the forefront of optimizing and streamlining our engineering operations, equipping our teams with efficient processes and advanced tools, ensuring they ultimately deliver high-value, cost-effective client experiences.

What we're asking you to do!

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Actively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing regular updates and strategic insights to ensure alignment and satisfaction.
  • Project Ownership: Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget. Develop detailed project plans to track progress and adjust as needed.
  • Communication Management: Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project charters, schedules, and budgets. Ensure clear and effective communication across all levels of the team and stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Lead and inspire project teams to achieve milestones and objectives through the effective execution of project plans.
  • Business Development Support: Contribute to business development activities such as drafting proposals, responding to RFPs, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques; report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Resource Management: Efficiently allocate resources and schedule staff to ensure optimal project outcomes.
  • Reporting: Develop and implement key performance indicators and metrics to report to C-suite executives, fostering transparency and accountability within Engineering operations.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks, establishing robust project controls and contingency plans.

What we're asking you to bring!

  • Relevant Experience: At least 5-7 years of experience in project management within a SaaS or technical delivery environment.
  • Proven Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead project teams and manage a wide variety of projects simultaneously.
  • Communication Excellence: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, adept in stakeholder management.
  • Relationship Building: Strong capability in forging significant relationships both internally and externally.
  • Methodology Proficiency: Versatile in various project management methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, etc.
  • Technical Acumen: Solid understanding of software engineering processes and principles.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, or a related technical field. A Master’s degree or equivalent is preferred.
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications are highly desirable.
