Purpose

We are seeking a talented Senior/Principal Software Engineer, ERP Development to join our Enterprise Applications team, focusing on maintaining and enhancing our current Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP system while evaluating opportunities for optimization and ensuring adaptability to evolving enterprise application needs. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the ERP system supports our business, engineering, and manufacturing operations. The position requires expertise in software development best practices, ERP customization, and modern tooling to optimize system performance and reliability. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with other members of the Enterprise Applications Team, along with Software Engineering and IT, to deliver scalable, efficient, and reliable ERP solutions aligned with our company’s strategic goals.

The Role

Oracle Fusion Cloud Development:

  • Lead the configuration, customization, and maintenance of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP modules, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Develop and deploy custom scripts, integrations, and enhancements using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) and related technologies.
  • Develop tools, scripts, and documentation to facilitate data migration and system integration.

System Integration and Optimization:

  • Ensure seamless integration between the ERP system and other enterprise applications, including PLM, MES, CRM, and custom in-house solutions.
  • Design and implement scalable and efficient workflows to improve end-user experience and operational efficiency.

Software Engineering Best Practices:

  • Apply modern tooling and techniques, such as version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and robust documentation.
  • Develop modular, reusable, and maintainable code to support current and future ERP needs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with business, engineering, and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver solutions that address user needs.
  • Support training and knowledge sharing with internal teams to ensure effective system usage.
  • Collaborate on the evaluation and potential transition to a new ERP system.

Basic Qualifications

  • Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in ERP development, including 3+ years with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP and its modules such as finance and accounting, supply chain management (SCM), production planning (PP), inventory and warehouse management, quality management (QMS), production lifecycle (PLM), human resources (HR), sales and distribution, customer relationship management (CRM), maintenance and service, business intelligence (BI), manufacturing execution system (MES), and project management (PM).
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) for ERP-related workflows and automations.
  • Strong programming skills in SQL, Java, or Python for ERP customization and integrations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of modern software engineering principles, including version control, CI/CD pipelines, design documentation, and Agile methodologies.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, finance, supply chain, technology development, and production operations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and solve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with other ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or NetSuite, demonstrating transferable skills for ERP migration projects.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulatory requirements for automotive, aerospace, or defense sectors (e.g., ISO 26262, AS9100, DFARS).
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing ERP solutions for engineering design and manufacturing.
  • Experience with system monitoring, performance optimization, and troubleshooting ERP environments.
  • Familiarity with modern cloud-based deployments.

Compensation

At Divergent, our pay range is based on the level of the job. For this role, we will consider candidates at levels E05 - E07 as evaluated through our interview process.

  • Senior / E5: $134,640 - $185,130
  • Lead / E6: $155,540 - $213,840
  • Principal / E7: $179,630 - $247,005
