The Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) is a complete software hardware solution designed to replace traditional vehicle manufacturing. To make the complex simple, it is a complete modular digital factory for complex structures. Given a set of digital requirements as input, the machine automatically computationally engineers, additively manufactures, and assembles any complex structure. The system is able to move seamlessly between manufacturing different vehicle models.
Purpose of Job:
Drive laser powder bed fusion (L-PBF) process parameter development programs for the company, ensuring delivery of robust production process parameters for materials including nickel alloys, aluminum alloys, and steels.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Standards:
1)Have knowledge in metallurgy, welding engineering, and/or additive materials processing, along with the ability to teach and set standard practices within the domain.
2)Develop L-PBF process parameter using design of experiments and support optimization of AM processes. Individual will have hands-on experience in build file preparation, process parameter generation, and material evaluation.
3)Leads and executes process development and improvement projects from conception to completion.
4)Possess the ability to follow scope, manage resources, measure progress, and effectively communicate status of materials and process development projects.
5)Assure proper formulation and design of experiments and thorough documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and / or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures. Follow defined procedures and processes and help to create them where needed.

•Moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, and risk of harmful chemicals
Requirements:
Education:
B.S./ B. Eng. and/or M.S. in Material Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Data Science with 1-2 years of industrial experience in manufacturing
Licenses/Certificates:-
Experience:
•1+ years of experience with build preparation software such as Magics
•1+ years of experience with process parameter development and design of experiments
•Hand-on experience with L-PBF systems
•Knowledge in additive manufacturing of metallic materials preferred
Skills:
•CAD/ CAM
•Materialise Magics training preferred
