REMOTE (ALL U.S. TIME ZONES)

DigiSure is an early-stage startup reimagining the way insurance is packaged, priced and serviced as an essential part of the modern, on-demand world we live in today. We believe a global community that shares is better for the environment, the economy and society as a whole, yet doing this safely requires an insurance platform that deeply understands the needs of these new marketplaces.

This is a full-time, 1099 contractor position with a primarily Monday - Friday work week. Standard weekday hours will be from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Eastern or Pacific Time. As the needs of the business can change during times of peak volume, the schedule may also fluctuate to meet those needs.

As a Property Damage Claims Adjuster, you will investigate, evaluate, and resolve Specialty Lines (motorcycle, RV, personal watercraft, ATV) claims in a variety of states. The Adjuster will remotely determine values of a claim and negotiate settlements within limits of authority. Adjusters will also perform other related duties as assigned. You’ll work closely with the Head of Claims to recognize loss trends across various partners and identify ways to improve the claims handling process. In addition, you’ll be handling customer interactions across all channels, and ensuring our customer experience is as positive as possible.

Exceptional evaluation and judgment skills are required to develop all potential exposures in the file, and to properly set indemnity reserves. Protection of our Insured’s and our Partner’s financial exposures are critical.

What you'll do:

  • Demonstrate a high level of investigation, analysis, evaluation and negotiation skills, including interpretation of specialty lines coverages

  • Determine if estimates or appraisals are appropriate based upon reported damages and other evidence

  • Adhere to proper procedures relating to the evaluation of Property Damage claims

  • Make recommendations for the disposition of claims in excess of individual settlement authority

  • Responsible for maintaining optimal file quality and documenting all aspects of claims handling

  • Plan and conduct investigations (including but not limited to interviewing parties involved, collect and evaluate documentation, secure evidence and protect the chain-of-custody, determine inspection needs, order police reports, scene investigation, take witness statements, review material damage photos, etc.) to analyze coverage, determine liability, compensability, and extent of damages

  • Assist the Underwriting team by reviewing TrustScore profiles and make rapid & accurate decisions based on risk data and established guidelines

  • Facilitate customer-centric behaviors and a superior customer experience for both internal and external customers

  • Demonstrate time management for handling necessary customer outreach and reviewing claims within established service level agreements

  • Help drive continual improvement and operations excellence - own process development, and quality assurance

What you'll need:

  • 3+ years of Property Damage Claims experience

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills

  • Self-motivation and strong attention to detail

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Bonus points if:

  • You are a Spanish speaker

  • You have 1+ years underwriting or fraud & risk compliance experience

  • You are knowledgeable about motorcycles and RVs

We welcome people from all backgrounds with a passion to revolutionize insurance.

Benefits:

  • Unlimited vacation

  • Remote work environment

  • Paid parental leave

  • We respect holidays from different religious and cultural traditions

Salary: $50k-70k
