What we’re looking for
Responsibilities

  • Engage with potential clients over the phone to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Utilize persuasive techniques and product knowledge to effectively communicate the value proposition of Deako's products and services.
  • Guide prospects through the sales process, addressing any concerns or objections they may have.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales interactions and appointments in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure smooth handoff of leads and appointments.
  • Continuously strive to meet or exceed sales targets and objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and product developments to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to prospects, building rapport and fostering long-term relationships.


Projects you’ll work on

While not all positions may have specific projects assigned, there could be opportunities for project-based work, especially for roles that involve strategic initiatives, process improvements, or product development. Projects may vary depending on business needs and the specific focus of the Inside Sales team.

Day-to-day expectations

  • Manage and prioritize incoming sales appointments effectively.
  • Review appointment details and prepare thoroughly before engaging with prospects.
  • Make outbound calls to scheduled appointments promptly and professionally.
  • Engage with prospects in a courteous and persuasive manner, addressing their questions and concerns.
  • Utilize effective sales techniques to guide prospects through the sales process and close deals.
  • Document all interactions and outcomes accurately in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure seamless coordination and handoff of appointments.
  • Follow up with prospects as needed to nurture relationships and facilitate deal closure.
  • Stay organized and focused to meet daily and weekly sales targets.
  • Continuously seek opportunities for self-improvement and skill development in sales techniques and product knowledge.


Must Haves

  • 2-3 years of phone sales experience with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills and CRM software
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Excellent follow up and follow through skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn


Nice to haves

  • Experience in the home automation industry
  • Experience in consumer electronics sales or related fields
  • Familiarity with various sales methodologies and techniques

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: $50,000 base salary plus uncapped commissions
