This role is a critical part of that transformation, enabling seamless technology connections that will bring Copper’s modern banking experience to families across the country through their local credit unions.
What You’ll Do
- Work full-time (40 hrs/week) as a core contributor to a high-impact integration initiative
- Build, test, and deploy secure, scalable features using Node.js, TypeScript, React Native, and AWS
- Design and implement integrations with credit union core banking systems and APIs
- Collaborate daily with both our core engineering team and partner technology teams
- Contribute to architectural planning, documentation, and scalable development practices
- Support onboarding and handoff processes with partner teams
This is a contract-to-hire role. Our intent is to convert the successful candidate into a full-time team member, focused on long-term strategic work across our growing partner ecosystem.What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, ideally in fintech, startup, or banking environments
- Strong proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, React Native, and AWS
- Demonstrated experience integrating with banking systems, core platforms, or financial APIs
- Solid understanding of data security, compliance, and best practices in regulated environments
- Prior collaboration with credit unions, banks, or financial partners
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally across organizations
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, or infrastructure-as-code
- Familiarity with regulatory and compliance frameworks such as SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI, FFIEC, or NCUA guidelines
