About Our Team
Chef Robotics is on a mission to accelerate the advent of intelligent machines in the physical world. As the rise of LLMs like ChatGPT has shown, AI has the potential to drive immense change. However, we believe AI’s biggest impact will be in the physical world, given industries like manufacturing, food, and transportation represent 90% of global GDP. We're starting with food, with a goal to put an intelligent robot in every commercial kitchen in the world. We have signed multiple multi-year contracts with various large food companies and we are growing fast. We're backed by investors like Kleiner Perkins, Construct, Bloomberg BETA and Promus Ventures. We have a great team, where you will be surrounded by talented engineers and tech leaders from companies like Cruise, Zoox, Google, Verb Surgical, Tesla, Nuro, Vicarious, Amazon Robotics, Strateos, Built Robotics, Facebook, Plenty, Yelp, and Microsoft.
About the Role
As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Chef Robotics, you will play a critical role in identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities. You’ll develop a strong understanding of Chef’s robotic system and confidently address questions about its performance and capabilities. While deep technical expertise isn’t required, we value quick learners who are self-motivated, curious, and collaborative. This role serves as a strong foundation for a successful career in SaaS and robotics sales for individuals eager to grow and take initiative.
We’re seeking candidates with prior experience in SaaS or robotics who can ramp up quickly, effectively engage mid-sized to enterprise-level prospects, and consistently schedule high-quality meetings.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify and research high-quality leads that align with Chef’s Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
  • Pinpoint the appropriate decision-makers and relevant job titles within target organizations.
  • Perform in-depth account research to understand each prospect's needs, challenges, and business context.
  • Locate or infer prospect email addresses and initiate outreach with personalized, relevant messaging.
  • Act as the first point of contact for inbound and outbound leads, assessing fit and determining appropriate next steps.
  • Schedule and coordinate introductory meetings between qualified prospects and the sales team.
  • Collect and document key discovery insights to inform and accelerate the sales process.
  • Ensure a seamless transition of qualified opportunities by providing detailed background and context to the Sales team.
  • Build brand awareness and engagement with top-tier prospects through consistent outreach and thoughtful communication.
  • Accurately maintain records of all activities, contacts, and opportunities in HubSpot.

What You Bring:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in enterprise inside sales or business development (Required).
  • Proven experience selling SaaS-based products and solutions (Required).
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse automation, logistics, and/or robotics (Strongly Preferred).
  • Proficiency with CRM platforms, especially HubSpot (Preferred).
  • Familiarity with sales tools such as ZoomInfo, Klenty, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong active listening abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate complex topics over the phone and via email.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders, and maintain productive relationships.
  • Highly self-motivated, persistent, and resilient; capable of working independently and managing time effectively.
