About the Role

The person in this role will have extensive expertise in use cases of synthetic aperture radar data in order to both lead technical projects related to the use of SAR data, and also to propose projects that advance use of our radar and radar data. This role requires innovative problem-solving skills to support engineering objectives and project specific goals. The person should be familiar with prototyping algorithms that extract information and features from SAR data, writing technical reports, and skilled at presenting technical information.

Qualifications

• Have a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Earth Science, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering, Statistics or a relevant field.
• Knowledge of a variety of signal processing techniques employing remote sensing complex SAR data
• Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Familiarity with agile methodology and Git, as well as testing and CI/CD.
• Basic knowledge of machine learning techniques and advanced statistical techniques.
• Familiarity with cloud-based workflows for satellite imagery.

Compensation

The annual salary range for this role as it is posted is $187,094.00 - $205,000. The final job level and annual salary will be determined based on the education, qualification, knowledge, skills, ability, and experience of the final candidate(s), specific office location and calibrated against relevant market data and internal team equity.
