As a Development Assistant to the Art Team, you will provide vital administrative, QA and project support, ensuring smooth operations across the department. You will be responsible for managing calendars, organizing meetings, taking notes, updating and creating tickets in Jira, facilitating communication, and supporting various art teams. This is an ideal role for someone passionate about games, specifically games art, with strong organizational skills and an eagerness to learn more about art production processes within a AAA game studio.

Key Responsibilities

Meeting Coordination & sharing information:
  • Work closely with the art leadership team, organize and schedule meetings for the Art Team across various art disciplines (concept art, environment, UI, VFX, etc.).
  • Take detailed notes, screenshots and videos during meetings and outside of meetings to provide better context and clarity for team delivery.
  • Help organise the calendars of the Art Leadership Team, ensuring meetings, reviews, and milestones are effectively planned.
Communication & Information Sharing:
  • Act as a liaison between the art teams and other departments, ensuring timely communication of updates and information.
  • Help prepare reports, presentations, and documentation as needed to assist the Art Leadership Team in internal and external communications.
Jira Management:
  • Create and update tickets in Jira, helping the Art Leadership and production track tasks, milestones, and progress for various key topics.
Gameplay Capture & Asset Management:
  • Capture high-quality gameplay footage for internal presentations, reviews, or promotional materials.
  • Help organize and manage art assets, reference materials, and documentation for easy access by the team.
Quality Assurance (QA) Support:
  • Help in reviewing visual assets, checking for quality, consistency, and alignment with the project's gameplay and artistic vision.
  • Help report and track visual bugs or issues related to art assets, working closely with QA teams to ensure timely resolution.
Art Development Understanding:
  • Have a basic understanding of the art production pipeline across different disciplines (e.g., concept, 3D modelling, UI, VFX, etc.) to assist with task coordination and team support.
General Administrative Support:
  • Manage travel arrangements, expense reports, and other administrative duties for the Art Leadership Team.
  • Assist with planning and coordination of team-building activities or departmental events.

Requirements

Skills:
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with great attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in productivity tools ( Miro, Confluence, Microsoft Office, etc.).
  • Familiarity with task management software, particularly Jira.
  • Basic understanding of game development pipelines, particularly in areas such as concept art, 3D modelling, VFX, lighting, and UI.
  • Familiarity with video capture software and basic editing tools is a plus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Passion for video games and an interest in game art development.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a creative team environment.
