Business Development Representatives at BetterYou own the first part of the sales process and act as the first line of communication with prospective customers. In this role you will get to connect with decision makers, qualify opportunities, and book demos for the sales team.

This is an entry level role that requires a high hustle factor, solid communication and listening skills, and an eagerness to learn and grow. If you are competitive, driven to perform at a high level, and looking for a great team to grow with, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Qualify leads as sales opportunities
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
  • Present our company to potential clients
  • Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
  • Set up meetings or calls between (prospective) clients and Account Executives
  • Report to the Business Development Manager on outbound results

Requirements

Key Competencies, Skills, or Abilities:

  • Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work without close supervision
  • Excellent communication, listening, and negotiation skills
  • Good time management/organizational skills
  • Ability to deliver engaging presentations

Experience - Required:

  • 12+ months of relevant work experience in sales, business development, marketing, and/or customer service
  • Hands-on experience with multiple sales techniques (including cold calls)
  • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Hubspot) is a plus
  • Familiarity with outbound process, Hubspot, Mailshake, and Salesloft are a plus

Experience - Preferred:

  • BS degree in business, marketing, or relevant field
  • Experience working in the health and wellness industry
  • Experience working at an agile startup
