We are seeking an experienced Electrical, Electronic, and Electromagnetic (EEE) Parts Engineer to lead the design and integration of battery systems and support circuitry. This role involves battery and Battery Management System (BMS) design, component selection, architecture development, and compliance with screening and qualification standards. The SME will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate and select COTS and MIL-SPEC avionics, ensure parts maintainability, and address obsolescence concerns. Additionally, they will develop and maintain EEE Parts Standards, monitor industry advisories, and support mitigation efforts. The position requires strong technical expertise, cross-functional coordination, and the ability to present non-standard parts for approval.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage Electrical, Electronic, and Electromechanical (EEE) parts across multiple engineering disciplines
Evaluate EEE components against screening, qualification, and reliability requirements
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to select COTS and MIL-SPEC avionics
Ensure compliance with spare components, maintainability, and obsolescence requirements
Develop, author, and maintain EEE Parts Standards and related documentation
Assess EEE parts for adherence to program screening, selection, and qualification criteria
Monitor industry advisories and implement mitigation strategies for space and commercial applications
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for EEE parts within the Avionics team
Support EEE parts processes throughout development and production phases
Present non-standard parts for approval to internal and external control boards
Review and analyze screening, qualification, and Destructive Physical Analysis (DPA) data
Foster collaboration across engineering teams, including avionics, propulsion, payloads, power, and other subsystems
Communicate project status and potential issues to stakeholders and leadership
Apply agile project management methodologies throughout the project lifecycle
Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or science (electrical engineering, physics, or related)
Experience with EEE parts procurements and screening
Familiarity with NASA-STD-873910 is desired
Understanding of EEE parts processes and requirements
Ability to work effectively across engineering disciplines
Experience working in Aerospace is highly desirable

Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation
