DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Programming and wiring for various signal types including 4-20mA, 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, RS-485, RS-232, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, TTL, Discrete Input, Discrete Output.
- Create electrical schematics and perform wiring for cable harnessing, data acquisition and break out boxes for low-/high-voltage DC, analog & digital signals, and low-/high-power AC applications.
- Build and test prototypes, debug, and prepare documentation for manufacturing.
- Active participation in team brainstorming and technical review meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical or other relevant engineering field.
- Required: 7-12 years of work experience or a combined equivalent of relevant education and experience.
- Required: Experience programming and wiring for various signal types including 4-20mA, 0-5 VDC, 0-10 VDC, RS-485, RS-232, Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, TTL, Discrete Input, Discrete Output.
- Required: Experience with data interface protocols and associated hardware such as Ethernet, RS232, RS422, RS485, I2C, SPI etc.
- Required: Experience with low-power DC (0 – 48 VDC) and low-power AC (120 VAC) voltages.
- Required: Experience with test hardware such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, logic analyzers, function generators, electronic load banks, power supplies, power analyzers.
- Preferred: Experience with high-power DC (50+ VDC) and high-power AC (480, 240, 208 VAC) voltages.
- Preferred: Basic understanding of mechanical components related to testing fluid systems including solenoid valves, pumps, fans, heater relays, chiller carts, pressure transducers, thermocouples, RTD’s, flowmeters.
- Preferred: Data acquisition experience (LabVIEW is highly favorable).
- Preferred: Understanding of design and test of analog instrumentation systems.
- Preferred: Understanding of design and test of stepper and brushless DC-DC control circuits.
- Preferred: Understanding of design and test of power supply and conditioning systems.
Work Environment:
Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.
Requirements
- Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
- Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
- Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
Physical Requirements
- Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
