SUMMARY

The Network Analyst position involves analyzing and monitoring network performance, resolving connectivity issues, and configuring hardware and software for optimal network communication. Responsibilities also include setting up LAN and WAN networks, Voice Over IP, and VTC devices, managing IP addresses, and ensuring network security. The role encompasses system administration tasks, documentation of processes, and monitoring network performance metrics. Collaboration with internal departments and staying updated on network technology advancements are essential. These primary duties are critical for maintaining the reliability, security, and efficiency of the network infrastructure.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyzing and monitoring network performance.
  • Providing network support and resolving connectivity issues.
  • Configuring hardware and software to optimize network communication.
  • Setting up LAN and WAN networks, as well as Voice Over IP and VTC devices.
  • Managing IP addresses and resolving conflicts.
  • Performing system administration tasks and ensuring network security.
  • Documenting processes and monitoring network performance metrics.
  • Consulting with internal departments and training IT support staff.
  • Keeping up with advancements in network technologies and solutions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or management information systems or related field.
  • 2+ years’ experience as a network analyst or a combined equivalent of education and experience.
  • Certification in Aruba Network, Cisco Networking preferred.
  • Proficiency in documenting processes and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Knowledge of Wi-Fi protocols and best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task on multiple projects.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast environment and produce timely results.
  • Ability to demonstrate strong attention to detail.

Essential Functions

Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task.

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised.
  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.

Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time).
